A Few More Layouts

Here are a few more layouts I did on the retreat. All of them feature the Figgy Pudding line of papers from Basic Grey - along with a few CTMH papers, stamps and embellishments thrown in for good measure.

This first layout is probably my favorite of the entire weekend. The photos are of Sammie playing with the packaging our new Christmas tree came in. She liked this spongy foam sheet better than the actual tree. I love how the pictures capture her in motion - dancing and twirling around the living room.

These next two layouts are more pictures of us decorating the tree. I used the Cricut cartridge Jasmine for the title. The papers were a little loud, but I liked how they look with solid cardstock.
I found some neat "baubble" embellishments at Michael's in the wedding section. They aren't specifically for scrapbooking (which explains the great price), but are meant as filler for vases or centerpieces. I think they are made of acrylic, but because of the flat bottoms, they work really well on cards and scrapbook layouts. I purchased the clear ones, but they also sell bags in pink and blue - so I may have to go back and get more. Each bag has over 1000 of the little suckers, and for just $5 it's a pretty sweet deal. (Sorry the right page of this layout is cut off a little bit).

Here's a close up of the acrylic baubles... I used glue dots to attach the singletons, and a strip of tombo to adorn the edges of this stamped card.

Nona, I was just working with this exact line of paper the other night too! Love your page! The darkness, combined with the tree lights really look great with the lighter colors!! And way to go for getting so many pages done on the retreat!!
I checked out those little guys too at Micheal's, great deal!!

These layouts are so pretty! I LOVE the last one!! I'm not sure what it is, maybe the colors or the fun way you used the dewdrops but that one just seems to grab me!
