Saturday morning we did a family reunion with the Davenport side. It was great to be able to practice my shooting skills now that my photography class with Karen Russell is almost done. I feel I've come such a LONG way since I started the class 10 weeks ago. If you want more info about her classes,
click here to visit Karen's blog.
I shot all of these with my Nikon D70, using a 50 mm, f:1.8 lens. I shot in Aperture priority mode, and because the lighting was not consistant, I used exposure compensation quite a bit. If you have any more detailed questions, just leave a comment and I'll do my best to answer.

Cousins Mike and Beka:
Cousin Emily with her fiance Brian - (side note: Em has great taste. Brian is really into photography too - AND he shoots with a Nikon, so we totally approve - wink, wink)

I just think it's so funny that Grandpa Tim's shirt so closely matches your blog's color scheme. Hah!
Love ya!
All of your pictures are gorgeous - you really capture the light so well. Family reunions are so precious - it is so hard to organize one in our family because everyone is all over the world - but my cousin just got married in June and we had family fly in from all over - so it was a great moment - lots of photos ;)
