A new friend!

I met an awesome woman today named Angie. I didn't actually "meet" her, but we connected online after I purchased a digital banner from her. Her etsy shop is fabulous (go check it out right now!!) and after conversing with her we discovered we are both in the process of adopting! They recently had a 19 month old boy placed with them, and are hoping to hear good news soon that they can offically adopt him.

And if you were paying attention, you might have noticed I said "we are both in the process of adopting". That's right - Dave and I are officially trying to adopt again. We've told a lot of people already, so I thought it was safe to post here. =) We just sent in our WACAP application and will be going to our first meeting the first week of October. Right now we are leaning towards adopting from Ethiopia or India, but will wait until we hear more about both options before we make our final decision.

Anyway - back to my new friend Angie. In addition to her sweet etsy shop, she also has a great website where she features incredible hand made items (made by her and others). I hope you take a few minutes to visit and see all the delightful things she has to offer!

And if you have some time, please say prayers for both Angie's family and ours. We are so excited and hopeful to see the Lord bless us with children!

You will be in my prayers. I'm so happy to hear that you and Dave are trying again, and I have little doubt but what your story won't have a happy ending. The little one, whoever and wherever he is, will be blessed to have you and Dave as parents. And, there's that special "big sister," too!

Ah! Sending up some prayers for you all. After what you've been through, it is wonderful seeing you try again. Don't give up!

I'll be praying for you! My daughter spent some time in Taiwan this last summer and part of it was at an orphanage where there were 24 babies. We've had people from our church successfully adopt from there. Let me know if you want more info and I can get it for you. I do know the name of the orphanage is Home of God's Love.

I wish you and your family all the best with your adoption process. Adoption is something that is near and dear to my heart, because if it were not for that process, I may not be sitting here typing this post to you...I will be praying for you and your family. God has a plan and purpose for your life and He will give you the desires of your heart. Blessings~Barb

Yay, Nona!!!!! I'm so thrilled to hear that you are back into the adoption market again. International adoption is my specialty, so if you want to chat, shoot me an email. I will certainly be praying for your process! This is a really touching video on an adoption from Ethiopia. I can't wait to see how the Lord blesses your family and a little baby somewhere out there!
