I'm beginning New Year's Resolutions early this year. One of my goals for 2009 is to use my stash of papers, embellishments, and stamps - especially those that have never seen ink! To accomplish this feat, I'm resolving to do a card a day (and/or a scrapbook layout or other crafty item).
To begin, I used one of the sweet House Mouse images that my friend Kristi gave me. These little guys are HARD to color. I'm still learning how to use my copics, and I found this image pretty challenging with shading, blending, etc. Overall I'm pleased with how it turned out. Card is standard 4.25"x5.5". Paper is retired CTMH cranberry fleur de jardin and CTMH ponderosa pine CS.

Oh, I LOVE House Mouse stamps!!! What an adorable card!
I like your "one a day" goal. Being as I haven't updated my blog with ANY new creation since November, I'm thinking this might be a good goal for me, too!
Thanks for sharing! :)
You are a brave, brave woman to commit to doing a project a day. Of anyone, I think you can do it, too!
Super cute card. Your coloring looks great to me! But I can imagine how difficult it is.
I'm so glad I've discovered your blog...you give me lots of visual delights!
PS Neckwarmer is posted on my blog...
Nona,

I love your card! That lil guy is the cutest! I made the same vow as you have two years ago. My goal is the same, but tackling it a bit different. My first year, I wasn't going to buy anything new till old was used up. But when doing workshops, I was still buying. Business or not...the new was still there. Second year, not buying anything new till old is used up. Still doing workshops...but decided that every new item bought, old has to be used up. That seemed to work a whole lot better. My goad for this year was 144 layouts, I have almost doubled that for this year. Now, I have to decide what is considered old stuff and what is considered new.
Good luck in your endeavor. I look forward to seeing your creations!
