I'm HOME!

I'm home from the fabulous retreat - and I can finally share my BIG news!

Last October, Jill from CTMH Corportate called and asked if I would be willing to design a mini album and then teach it at the Album Retreat!!!

Two of the main reasons I signed up to be a consultant were to create lovely things, and TEACH! So this was an incredible opportunity for me, and you can be sure there was no way I was turning it down!

I was sent this lovely paper packet "That's Amore" (that came out January 1st) and the 5x7 mini binder (which will be released May 1st) and told to create to my heart's content. The only guidelines were that the book needed to be a "10 things" book, and I needed to get 2 books worth of supplies from 1 paper pack. I did them one better - with a little extra cardstock you can get FOUR books from 1 paper packet. =)

It was so hard keeping this a secret for 3 months! But it was all worth it on Thursday night, when I went up in front of 300 women to fulfill my dream of teaching my largest class ever. It would have been nice to have an extra hour or two - as it really is a 4 hour project and we only had 2 hours. But it was so incredible to teach, and everyone was very kind - even though I had to rush them through the class.

I also designed a second book with the same format, but the Stardust papers. I'll post that one tomorrow!

So, without further ado - here it is!

The tag comes out of the pocket on this page:

This layout has a tag that pulls out from between the Tulip paper and the Colonial White paper. The heart on this page folds open to reveal journaling.
The corner of this page is also a pocket for a tag.

I loved this class at Album Retreat! I wished they would have started the class earlier in the day, so I could have completed it. However, the insturctions that came with it should help me to finish it on my own.

Also, congratulations on your layout "Learning to Fly." Loved it!

Once May comes, I'll be selling something using this tabbed album as a kit. I'll Probably use updated papers as the "Valentines" theme will be over by then. =)

Wish I could start selling kits sooner, but without the binder part... well it's just not possible yet.

Nona, Thank You for taking this opportunity. I am blessed to have been led by such a wonderful, creative, caring person at album retreat.

The cover of my book reads "10 Things I Love About My Family" and I cannot wait to complete it!

You did a WONDERFUL job leading all of us, and I also LOVED your layout you put in the contest.

You are an inspiration lady!

Nona - we are truly BLESSED that you are a part of CTMH, and that your passion is creating amazing artwork that you willingly share with others. It's the wonderful aspect of CTMH that makes it one of the most incredible companies ever.

I know what it's like having to keep a secret with CTMH...the excitement, the suspense...and no one to share it with....AHHHHHH. Then comes the moment - the big unveiling...I can only imagine - it must have been incredible.

I look forward to being able to offer these new albums as a workshop/class - I can see these being used as recipe books, quote books, prayer journals, brag albums, and so much more.

Thank you for sharing these with us.

With GREAT BIG HUGS,
Helen
