My funky hat

In between moebius orders I tried a new knitting technique called "interlock". It's where you knit a square, then pick up stitches to knit joining squares that all flow in different directions. It's pretty hard to explain, but not that difficult to do. Here is my first hat done in this technique:
The colors are pretty off in this photo (darned night time photography!). I purchased 2 skeins of this yarn for a custom moebius order a few weeks ago, but only ended up using one. The colors are VERY bright lime green and turquoise. The hat is a little floppy, and a bit on the beret-ish side -as far as fit is concerned. I was thinking of selling it, since it is SOOOO not me. But I donned it tonight and actually feel a little bit fresh and funky. I might wear it for a while and see. Chances are good it will find it's way into my etsy store though. LOL...

The colors are truer in these shots:

So what do you think? Is it me? LOL!!!

ps... this is my 250th post!! YIPPEE!

Nona...your new hat is awesome! I love how you took a picture of it in the mirror. You need to create a digi page with your knitting and include this shot.

I am so far behind on our classes. I guess that is why they are online...LOL!

Hats off to you!

Fantastic, Nona! You are so amazing in what you create! Now you know I'm gonna look up how to do this, don't you? Although those colors are great on you...I don't think they'd suit me. Thank you for ALWAYS inspiring me!

PS your digi scrapping is terrific too! Love the layout of your parents. So much fun isn't it?!

HI Nona! I just now read the comment you left on my blog about selling your hats (thanks for visiting my blog!). Thanks so much for getting back to me! I totally understand you not wanting to get backed up on orders! I will continue to visit your Blog to see when you have hats at your Etsy shop. Are the hats one-size-fits-all?
Have a nice evening!
Smiles,
amy

Hi Nona, I'm also a fellow CTMH consultant that stalks you from time to time :)

I love your hat!! I can knit a little bit, but don't know if I could do something like that yet. I'm hoping to learn more techniques someday - too many crafts, not enough time!!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent with us!!
