Sweater!

I recently finished a "toddler" sized sweater...

a) because I had some yarn I wanted to use up.
b) because I wanted to practice making a sweater in a small size before tackling the one I have planned to knit for myself.
c) to try a pattern that I've been eyeing for YEARS!
d) just for fun!
e) actually - all of the above!!! <-----

I was pleasantly suprised with how cute the sweater was when finished! It wasn't boxy (like it looked on the model in the book), especially after I made some sleeve modifications. And besides being a bit too short in the sleeves and waist the shape fit Sammie great! Remember, I wasn't actually making it for Samantha - it's a toddler size 3-4T and she's in a 6 now, so I knew it wouldn't work for her.

But all in all I'm very excited with how it turned out. I'm thinking about knitting another that is actually Sammie's size, but picking a few different colors that are more suited to her personality. :) I need one more small sweater project before taking on MY "scary" sweater project. hehe...

Here are a few pictures:

ps... this sweater is up for grabs. I am going to put it in my etsy store soon, but if you want to claim it now and save me the trouble of listing it that works great! I'm going to ask $45 and that includes shipping. It's 100% Merino Wool (not as soft as cotton, but fairly soft) and is hand wash only, lay flat to dry. I could also make a matching hat or mittens if that makes it more enticing. :)

Super cute. Your Sammie is absolutely adorable with that hair cut! Well, she's adorable anyway, but I just love the sassiness of the 'do! Can't wait to see "your" sweater!

So cute Nona. Sami looks adorable in it even if it's not her size.

I love those colors Nona!! She looks totally adorable. I second Jeanne's comment about her 'do!! Morgan is only 10 months old so it would be a long time before she could wear that or I might have snapped that right up!!
