Christmas is coming!

Pardon my absence of late.  With craft fairs and Christmas events upon us, I have been one busy little bee!  And it's looking like the chaos will continue through Dec 25th.

I would like to share a little knitting project with you, however!  I've dived headfirst into the deep end of the sock knitting pool, and I found the most awesome sock pattern book ever!  It is "Knitted Socks East and West", by Judy Sumner (photo of the cover below).  I've already knit three patters from the book and they all turned out great!

Here is a photo of a pair of socks in progress.  I've actually completed the pair now, but will have to wait to show you that until after Christmas.  :)  Many family members read my blog, so I don't want to give too much away.  I used a wonderful yarn by Indigo Moon, which is a company in Canada.  They only sell their yarn in one store in the US - Twisted, in Portland, OR.  I was in Portland last month for a CTMH conference and discovered this shop and yarn.  Oooh boy was I in heaven!  You can also buy Indigo Moon from their website.  I have both Twisted and Indigo Moon's blogs/websites to the left in my sidebar.

Happy Christmas Prepping everyone!  I still have about 13 projects to finish by Christmas!

I remember seeing the "kid in a candy store" glee you had at Twisted. ;)

I'm glad you found a cool book. Good luck completing all your projects!

What a scrumptious looking book and fabulous yarn. You always find the neatest patterns to try and you are successful with dpns. I have a project I want to make for Amy but it requires use of those dpns and I'm not confident yet that I will be able to create the project. Sigh.

Happy creating and have fun, we'll be here when you get done.
