While I'm away at Convention, in Washington D.C., I've prepared a few blog posts in advance to help generate *some* of the excitement radiating among the thousands of consultants here in attendance. :)
I had been asked to participate last year, but could not, due to all of the details surrounding Ruby's adoption (and not knowing when we would need travel!). So it was a true honor to be asked to submit artwork for this year's auction!
While shopping at JoAnn Fabrics, I found these adorable bird houses and thought they would make the cutest "creative" display! Here is the completed project:
I used all CTMH products: Caboodle papers, Dimensional alphabet letters coated in Prisma Glitter, Sparkles, Stardust Glitter Glue and Sweet Leaf Ribbons.
Here's a trick for ensuring that your glitter doesn't go EVERYWHERE when you make letters like mine. Coat your object with glue (I used our bonding memories glue pen) and then cover with glitter. Shake teh excess off in a small cardboard box (to contain it). Then spray item with a light coating of aerosol hairspray and let dry. The hairspray seals the glitter so it won't come off! It works great!
I hope my little bird houses are well received and raise LOTS of money for Operation Smile. :)

So cute! I had thought about doing a birdhouse for my auction item, but now I'm glad I didn't - it wouldn't have turned out as adorable as yours ;-) TFS!
Sooooo cute!! I'm glad they helped raise lots of money! Great work!
