Sock for Me!

For those that come here to see paper creations, don't worry. I'm not leaving cards and scrapbooking behind! I've been teaching my card classes this week (had 21 students this time - my most ever!) and that leaves little time to do personal paper crafting.

But I have been doing a LOT of knitting! I love that it is portable. I can knit while Sam goes to her summer activities. I can knit while I wait in a doctor's office or if I have 20 min to kill before an appointment. So, that explains all the knitting projects to share lately.

Today is no exception, and of all my summer projects I am most excited about this! I knit my first "adult" sock last week - and my first project in a loooooooong time that is for ME! :) This is the "dragonfly" pattern from Ravelry. I used Blue Moon's Socks that Rock yarn in the Lunasea colorway, and size 2 needles. This sock took about 3 days.

Guess I need to make the second one now. ;)

Sigh...another beauty. LOVE the pattern in the sock. Love the colors...love that you showed your unsocked foot! Love that you have mastered knitting socks (something I've wanted to do, but haven't yet).

Thanks so much for sharing!

I love knit socks, just don't have the patience to do TWO!!!! LOL. I've made slipper socks using one of Lion Brand's bulky yarn - those were GREAT! 17 stitches around...that's my kind of sock!

Thank you for sharing the dragonfly pattern - very pretty.

Okay, I love that you show off ONE sock. Why make one that matches? Why not just make another one you love and wear them together anyway?

I wish I knew how to knit - I might have to add that to my list of things to do in 2010.

Leslie - I love knitting socks. Just finishing up another pair - this time for Sammie. Will post tomorrow most likely.
