What's On My Needles

Happy Saturday!

After a vigorous hour of Zumba this morning, I'm currently snuggled up on the couch knitting and watching the Seahawks Playoff game.  :)  Ruby is napping, and Dave took Sam to the children's museum.  So the house is mine!  Ahhhhhhh.....

Here's what was on my needles yesterday (1/7/11).  They are the "through the loops" mystery sock by Kirsten Kapur from last October.  I'm knitting them in Mini Mochi yarn which is luxuriously soft and yummy.  I started knitting my socks 2 at a time (instead of knitting one whole sock and then a second whole sock).  Since I don't use long circulars or magic loop to knit socks, I've had to invest in extra pairs of DPN to do this.  It seems to take longer, but when I'm done I'll have a pair of socks instead of just one.  :)  So far so good!

Today I'm going back and forth between the socks and this little gem:  These will be a custom order pair of fingerless mittens for my friend.  I'm knitting them in Berroco Vintage - "cracked pepper".  Love, Love, Love this yarn.

Anywhoo - the Hawks just scored and I'm missing the game, so I'm gonna go glue my backside back on the couch.  Hope your weekend is relaxing!
