I wound the yarn into two equal balls, so I could maximize the yardage for what was to come. My vision - gauntlets. Long, ornate, lovely, cabled gauntlets that would induce gasps of wonder and amazement.
Just the cuffs did that for me...
In design, it's always wonderful with what you envision in your mind actually comes out in the final product. There have been projects that I've torn out again, and again, and again. Not these babies... it was sheer bliss from the first stitch.
When this prototype was finished I texted my best friend Wendi, and told her I felt like a teenie bopper who'd shaken hands with Justin Bieber. I was giddy - and after the crappy week I'd endured, giddy was needed.
I still have some adjusting to do on these. Thinking of removing the eyelet section, widening the wrist, and tightening the upper arm. Otherwise, this puppy is about done. Pattern to come soon. :)

Leslie - you will LOVE it!!!!
I am behind on my blog reading. I have to say that I am truly, madly - and I'd even go so far as to say deeply in love with not only the glove pattern, but also the yarn. We will have to talk about these when we eat sushi. I am making a note.
