I've delved into a new area of knitting design lately - SOCKS! :)
You may have remembered me posting my "Waffle Knit Socks" last month. Well Knit Picks just picked up and released my latest sock pattern "Labyrinth"! You can find them HERE. I've also posted the pattern in my ETSY SHOP, CRAFTSY SHOP, and my RAVELRY SHOP. Click the shop to purchase the pattern.
Here are some photos of the pattern. I used "Stroll Glimmer" yarn from Knit Picks in the Dragonscales colorway. I posted a few of these pictures before as a sneak peek, so they may look familiar.

Still Waiting
I'm still waiting for my son to make his appearance, and I'm also waiting to hear about my newest patterns.
I finished another new one yesterday though. Seriously the needles are on FIRE these days. My mom came over and helped me out with the photo shoot (being that my feet are a bit swollen these days) and in all honesty, I prefer to be BEHIND the camera not in front of it.

Hey Sweetie Pie!
I have a brand new paper crafting template to share with you! I took a break from designing over the holidays, but I'm back baby - and this template is SUPER cute. I think you'll enjoy making these little paper pies for any occasion, but they seemed quite appropriate for Valentine's Day!
Because this is a "mini" workshop, I've lowered the price to just $3!
Here are few detail shots of the layout:
In addition to the 2 page 12x12 layout, you'll also learn to make 2 adorable cards. And you can take your "baker's knowledge" and create dozens of pies for cards and layouts in the future. You can even switch out your colored patterned paper for blue to make masculine blueberry pies!
When you click the link above, you'll be taken to Craftsy.com where you can purchase all of my available patterns - both knitting and paper crafting. You can also browse a great collection of other crafty patterns. It's a fantastic site!
If you pop over to my "Paper Crafting Templates" page (see the link at the top of the blog),
you'll notice a few changes as well.
All of the templates featuring current papers (or templates that can be made using any papers) are still on the top, but I've put all of the rest in the "retired" section. These are still available, but you have to email me directly to purchase them. However, now that they are "retired" I've lowered the price to just $3. So if there was a particular pattern you'd had your eye on for a while, you can get it now and at a discount to boot!
Keep checking back for more new patterns that will be coming soon! I can't wait to get my hands on all the fun new CTMH products in the new Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book!

New Pattern!
It's been quite a while, but I have a new pattern for sale on Knit Picks and Ravelry. :) I call them "Waffle Knit Mitts" and you can purchase the pattern by clicking on either of the links above. The pattern is slightly less when you buy them on the Knit Picks website (because I in turn don't have to pay any fees to sell there). I also hope to have a few pairs up in my etsy shop in the next few weeks.
It's a super fast knit, and would even make a nice Valentine gift for the man in your life - since the pattern includes sizes for men and women, in both the fingerless and full mitt variety. Working in worsted weight means you could knit these up in a weekend - or if you are really fast, just an evening.
I was pleased that we had snow at just the perfect time for a nice backdrop for the glove photo shoot. Although that also meant I had to model my own creation - which I don't normally do. I think my hubby did a nice job with the photos. We had to shoot the "soap opera" way though - hiding my pregnant belly with a scarf and carefully cropped images.

2 New Patterns
I have two new patterns up this morning on Knit Picks! Both feature yarn just released in the latest catalog!
The first is in Swish Bulky - not a new yarn to Knit Picks, but definitely a new color! I just love the bright red in this Serrano colorway. It was *perfect* for my strawberry hat. And I've included sizes from infant to adult - so the whole family can sport one! You can find the pattern HERE.

The second pattern features brand new "Biggo" yarn. It is super soft, and the ply and weight remind me of the Misti or Baby Grande Alpaca. So yummy! Biggo is actually 50% merino, and 50% nylon, but it is fantastic, and just the right yarn for "next to the skin" winter projects.
I was so honored that my sweet hubby Dave would model for this pattern. And I was even more flattered when he asked if he could keep the cowl! Dave is very sensitive to wool - or any material that is itchy or scratchy or wispy or... you get the idea. So to have finally found a yarn that he enjoys wearing is fantastic. You can find my Rainier Cabled Cowl HERE.

If you don't get Knit Pick's weekly emails, then you might have missed this today: (Click photo to see the real ad)
See that little pattern on the bottom right? :) That would be my latest! Woohoo!!! And I'd like to give a shout out to my friend Emily for modeling. Thanks Em! She gives killer massages, and specializes in pampering women (especially pregnant women) at her spa Tranquil Haven. I encourage you to check her out and book an appointment if you are local. I had the lavender massage on Monday and it was UH-mazing.
My new pattern is for sale here at Knit Picks, and will be up in my Etsy and Ravelry shop by the end of the week. And if you don't know how to knit, yes, I do take custom orders. Just email me at nonapearl@firebin.net.

Bonus Template for June
I'm interrupting the regularly scheduled junking post to bring you a new BONUS template for June.
This month Close To My Heart has decided to continue selling the "You and Me" kit through the end of June (or while supplies last) as a fund raiser. A portion of the cost of each kit sold will support victims of the recent severe storms that have hit the midwestern and southern states. The value of the kits exceeds $34.95, but they have put them it sale for just $15!
I may not be a consultant any longer, but I admire what the company is trying to do, and I wanted to do my part as well. So, I've designed this bonus template featuring the "You and Me" kit. With this kit, my template and a few additional supplies, you can make 2 complete mini album binders with 10 pages each!
Additionally, I will donate $1 from each "You and Me" template sold to the same charity that CTMH is donating to - the American Red Cross. I will also donate $2 from the sale of each "You and Me" limited teacher's license.

These albums make a great teacher's, graduation or father's day gifts, or special mementos for birthday celebrations or summer parties. And best of all, using just one You and Me kit (and a few additional supplies) you can make BOTH albums!
Here is a quick look at some of the details of the pages inside the mini albums:

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner
My 20th "Thrifty 30" kit was just purchased, and so I drew TWO names of participants who each one a card kit, (including cards, envelopes, a pack of Kraft Borders, and pre-cut papers)!
There were a total of 28 entries among those 20 participants, and my trusty Random Number Generator selected #10 and #19. I'd show you the number generator but it isn't copying into blogger correctly, so you'll just have to trust me.
#10, and the winner of the Mayberry Kit is Heather Hunt!
#19, and the winner of the Fanfare Kit is Amy McVey!
Congratulations ladies! Please email me at nonapearl@firebin.net to confirm your mailing address.
I will get your goodies shipped out to you as soon as possible.
Thank you all for purchasing my template. I hope you are enjoying it. I will have another great template available to you soon, so be sure to check back. I will also have a contest for free kits with every new template release. If you have any special requests for templates, feel free to drop me a line. I'm always open to suggestions.
