Big News!!

I've been holding out on sharing something HUGE for the past week... (dropping hints every now and then), but I just can't contain it any longer!

Now before you starting getting big ideas - I'm NOT pregnant! :) But we are getting a new baby!

God is so good! He has answered our prayers for another child in the most miraculous way imaginable. Only He could have orchestrated the incredible circumstances that are leading to us adopting a beautiful newborn baby boy - and only He will be the one to bring this good work to completion.

Dave and I have been struggling with infertility for over 2 1/2 years. In that time we prayed that God would show us His timing, and His will in regards to having a second child. We began discussing adoption last fall - even attending an information meeting at a local Adoption Agency. We knew adoption was something we wanted to do, we just weren't sure about the timing. So we kept praying...

Fast forward to several weeks ago. We were at an impass due to some infertility issues. We had to decide whether to go the fertility treatment route or adoption. It was time to make a decision. So we prayed and diligently sought the Lord. On Monday night (March 10) I cried out to God asking Him to make it abundantly clear which direction we should take, and I even prayed that if adoption was His will, could he "just put a baby in our laps"?

The NEXT day, Tuesday morning, I got a phone call saying that a sweet, selfless momma needed a home for her soon-to-be-born son. We had gotten our answer from the Lord. Dave and I immediately offered to become his adoptive parents. We prayed all week, and on Monday we heard that this momma has agreed to place her son in our home after his birth! PRAISE THE LORD!

So now we are trying to get a million things in place so that this adoption can go through as quickly as possible. Our momma is due in about a week, so we don't have much time, but "we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose" (Rom 8:28). And we know and BELIEVE that when we pray, God answers. We are so thankful!

Here are some Thank You notes I made last night for all those helping us so much with the adoption process. I got to use my cuttlebug! YAY! (It had been a while)

Close up on the Cuttlebug textures. I used swiss dots, diamonds, bubble texture (looks like lizzard skin) and the distressed stripes. (All supplies CTMH - email me if you want a list).
