Easter Cards - yes! I still make cards! :)

I recently purchased some stamp sets from Verve. I'd been looking for elegant scripture stamps for LONG time, and these are just gorgeous. I love their "Plain Jane" collection too - individual verse stamps for just $3!

All of these cards feature the Verve Easter set "Everlasting Life" as well as Floral Tapestry papers by CTMH, and embellishments (buttons, waxy flax, ribbon, brads, mini brads) by CTMH. I also used my piercing tool and a few punches to add some pizazz.

For each card I used a "paper piecing" technique. I stamped the cross/lily image onto patterned paper and cut out the image. Then I stamped again onto plain cardstock and glued the cut out images to it. This is how the cross can look textured, but still have detailing swirling around it on the plain cardstock. Clear as mud?
